The astute among you might have noticed a few changes around here. When I first decided to retrain for a creative career, I knew having a website was important so I started one thinking I would be a graphic designer who did everything and one day have a design studio with employees and what not. Pretty soon into my course, my work started taking an illustrative turn after realising you can actually make money by drawing. So the name linedotdesign became a bit redundant. Plus my name is a fairly unique one so I thought I should be using this to my advantage instead of hiding behind a dull alias.
My little chicken logo has also gone and replaced with this leafy tree. Repeating elements are something that's common in my work so I wanted a new logo that featured in my work a lot.
A couple of updates...
1. The Re-Present exhibition at Sheffield Children's Hospital has now come to an end and somebody actually bought my work! Thank you mysterious stranger for contributing to a great cause.
2. I'm going to be in another exhibition! As part of Sheffield Design Week, Uber Agency are putting on an exhibition at S1 Artspace called A View of Sheffield, where local designers/artists were invited to pick somebody's opinion of Sheffield and visually represent it. I really miss Sheffield so I thought this would be a good opportunity to go back and visit. My print has been delivered straight from the printers to Uber so I've not actually seen it so I'm a bit nervous about what it looks like! The exhibition will run from the 21st October, be sure to check out other Sheffield Design Week events!
